Dr. Chu’s medical psychology background (clinical psychology, clinical health psychology, and clinical neuropsychology) makes her uniquely trained to help her clients undertand the importance of promoting brain and cognitive health. She is currently pursuing her brain injury specialist certification through the Brain Injury Association of America.

Dr. Chu has worked with individuals who have suffered from a medically induced coma (MIC) and successfully advocated that many individuals with traumatic brain injury address their complex neurological conditions, including providing education about concussion, chronic pain management, and post-traumatic headache (PTH) and providing links to cognitive remediation therapy, comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation, and neurocritical care programs.

The 8-week Brain Injury Recovery Support Program

  • Full initial intake (assess the severity of brain injury) during the first session

  • Weekly 1:1 brain injury coaching session (60 minutes/each session) with Dr. Chu, in person or via FaceTime 

  • 8-week Package for $2400 

  • Review medical reports or evaluations if needed with no additional charges

  • Focus on collaborating with families and physicians to deliver on a personalized plan of care.

While serving individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) as a workers’ compensation doctor, Dr. Chu is also Amen University’s brain health licensed trainer, advocating for those who suffer from the short- and long-terms effects of TBI. Her approach to brain health coaching and consulting is based on Dr. Amen's book on brain health, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life, and his philosophy to begin a revolution in brain health.

Dr. Chu strongly agrees with Dr. Amen that "you're not stuck" with the brain you have. She values the importance of the positive correlation between healthy lifestyles and the brain, which is essential for our overall quality of life.
